What safety measures have to be taken into account?

  • It is employer’s responsibility to provide occupational safety instructing about risk factors which can be faced in the working environment (e.g. how heavy objects should be properly removed, arrangement of computer desks, proper usage of chemical substances, what are individual protective means, etc.)
  • Employees must be informed about methods of work which are safe and harmless for their health. Employer has to explain occupational safety measures which must be obeyed when performing particular job responsibilities.
  • Employer has to provide occupational safety instructions which are well comprehensible for all employees, including young people.
  • Employers are obliged to inform employees about the risks of the occupational environment and about general safety measures, as well as safety measures for each particular position.
  • Employee and a trustee have rights to address State Work inspection, if they consider that safety measures and equipment provided by the employer are insufficient for the health and safety of the employees.
